February has been a tough month for me it seems. In everything I do there has been some type of struggle that makes me rethink why I'm even trying in the first place.
"Why do I even bother?" That is such a self destructive question, isn't it? It's insinuating that we shouldn't even try because we'll be faced with opposition. In the moment it is so easy to go into that place. Thinking about it now it's almost silly to me. We shouldn't give up and not even try just because there might be a few struggles in achieving what we set out to do. Anything worth having is worth fighting for. There is this quote by Thomas Edison, it says "Opportunity is missed by people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work." It's hard because a blessing in on the other side of that battle! To finish the quote from the title of this blog entry.. If you saw the size of the blessing coming you would understand the magnitude of the battle you are fighting. If we are passionate about something, especially if it's to do good in this world, we need to take the opportunities God provides us! God didn't say it'd be easy, He said He will give us the strength to get through whatever comes our way. He won't give us anything we cannot handle. Don't let the opposition fool you! Don't let him steal your spirit! We are all passionate about certain things for a reason. Have confidence in yourself and in God and pray that God will be able to use what you're passionate about to do good in this world. Remember, the opposition fights the hardest when he's trying to rob you of a blessing. Never give up :) -X
